Brand Identity and Brand Strategy
OBJECTIVE: Give a modern refresh to the 2019 annual Pycon Convention that matches the nonprofit Python Software Foundation brand. Bonus points: incorporate the host city of Cleveland, Ohio.
SOLUTION: Knowing this would be a diverse brand application with many touch points, we developed a modular branding system where certain elements could be scaled and repeated to fit special individual items like stickers, water bottles, and environmental pieces like kiosks, banners, video backdrops, and website. A city skyline formed the core of the logo, but colored ribbons, waves, flag banners, and gradients were all used to give the brand flexibility while retaining unity.
