Cart at Hollenden
The Cart at Hollenden was inspired by the founder of American Greetings, Jacob Saperstein. He first sold his cards in the Hollenden Hotel, which later grew to selling cards all over Cleveland in a horse-drawn cart. The name of the shop pays homage to his humble beginnings and showcases the talent of local designers.
Project created to benefit Cleveland's Rainey Institute and sponsored by American Greetings. We designed the logo, tags, and signage in collaboration with Kristeen Martin, Nicole Wagner and Megan Buettner.

Global Cleveland
Identity, stationery, signage, and print collateral for a new civic organization working to build a better Cleveland by attracting talented people to the area. The logo represents the convergence of different people and energies coming into the city. It was important for them to be seen as vibrant, energetic, and youthful. Bright colors were part of this strategy, while the type grounded the mark and allowed for high readability. We further expanded the mark into patterns to help grow their brand identity.

Medina Meadows Logos
Medina Meadows is a small nursing home facility outside of Cleveland. Their previous mark was far too corporate and uninviting. Using inspiration from nature I wanted to bring out patterns and forms that would convey a friendlier approach. My goal was to create a feeling of comfort and safety for anyone considering using their services. The loving, natural elements that I used in the logos capture the nurturing atmosphere they were looking to portray.

Local Food Systems
Identity and web elements designed for Ohio organization focused around agricultural business. Their primary interest is in using better networking to connect and grow businesses involved with the agriculture industry. Their business prospects are diverse, so we avoided heavy usage of green and plant imagery to better define their brand as networking and community growth. The honeycomb matrix was fitting and we carefully selected colors that were strong—but subdued—for differentiation. Website design was in collaboration with Jeff Schuler.

Print Indie Logo
Print Indie is a screen printing firm. My concept was to create a mark that conveys what they do in a simple way. Inspired from the tools that execute their work I decided to focus on these elements. Although this solution was rejected by the client it was entered into Logo Lounge’s annual publication and will be published in their new installment of the Logo Lounge series. The book is due out in July 2009.
